I thought this was a fun page and it shows a nice way to adapt an 8" page to a 12" sheet. I believe this paper is by Sonburn. The upper portion was white so I cut that out. I trimmed the red with Fiskar's Sunflower scissors. The lower right picture covers where the 8" page ends. The horseshoe die cut was a last minute addition and I used brown sticker letters. It was only after finishing the page that I remembered that the rocker under a letter wasn't for lazy but there was no way to get that sticker up! Oh well!

A favorite thing to do as I was growing up was making ice cream with my Dad. When we visited in '94, Dad made ice cream with my girls. For the fudge pop, I slightly angled a rectangle shape, corner rounded the bottom ends and used the Fiskar rounder on the tops. Then I used the large scallop punch to make the bite. Mrs. Grossmans's stickers (I believe). The borders are pink and mint punched squares. It was only after I'd punched a ton of the squares did it dawn on me I could have done one color as stripes and the other as the squares on top...live and learn! I also wrote out the recipe for the ice cream that came from my Grandma Betty.

Also during the same visit, the girls were able to try sparklers. This was a first for them and they really enjoyed it. I used computer clip art..."Welcome the Seasons" from Provo Craft. I really like that collection...it comes in color or black and white. I made dotted arcs in several directions using metallic jelly roll pens to look like fireworks in the air.

This is another page using the same clip art collection by Provo Craft. I cut out the checked squares like steps and placed a strip of solid dark red to smooth the line. I used the same red to trace the crazy alphabet letters using a Pebbles in my Pocket stencil. I traced it backwards and then used an X-acto knife to cut the letters out.

I used Fiskar's wave scissors to cut blue strips for water on the bottom.
I did three layers, each layer going a different direction. I used
some somewhat shiney stickers of seashells. I traced a sun die cut
onto the right shade of yellow for this page as the die cut was too bright
a yellow.
