Our New First Addition!

(Click here to see our second addition)

Lydia Joanne Holmes was born on June 20th, 2000 at 10:56AM at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. (We're sorry she was born in Maryland and hope she doesn't inherit the horrible driving traits of most Marylanders...)  She weighed 9 pounds, 7 ounces and was 21.5 inches long.  Pam had 16 or so hours of labor, including three and a half pushing.  Lydia was born naturally thanks to wonderful support from our doula Stacy Vicars and the incredible staff at NNMC.

We were very fortunate to have had the wonderful support team we did.  Had we any other team, Pam would have most certainly undergone a Cesarian birth to extract Lydia.  Instead, the great team helped Pam to deliver naturally and without intervention or surgery.

Below are pictures of Lydia at various stages and links to other pages with more pictures. The small pictures are "thumbnails" -- hold the cursor over them and you'll see a caption. Click on any thumbnail to get a larger picture!
