Nana and Granddaddy Holmes helped us to move from Alexandria, Virginia, to Montgomery, Alabama in July, 2000. We couldn't have moved our house, a cat and a five-week old baby without the help of the grandparents!
Jim's sister Lydia ("Big Lyd") and her husband Roger visited us in Montgomery just a few days after we arrived. They said they were bringing out my Grandfather's china cabinet for us, but the Real Reason for the visit was to meet little Lydia! Big Lyd celebrated her 50th birthday while she was with us.
