Centerville
United Methodist Church offers a variety of passionate worship services. We are
a friendly, welcoming congregation and encourage you and your family to
participate weekly. We believe it is critical for disciples of Jesus Christ to
read Scripture daily and reflect upon it weekly in small groups. Our Sunday Worship Schedule:
9:15 AM - Traditional Worship 11:00 AM - Alternative Worship Childcare for Infants and Toddlers is offered in the Nursery from 9:15 AM until 12:00 Noon. Childcare for Pre-School thru Kinder is offered during the 9:15 AM Worship. Other Special Worship opportunities include:

is served monthly - Traditionally on the first Sunday of
each month and at each of the Prayer & Healing Services. Prayer & Healing Services
Our mission
and purpose is driven by scripture found in the Book of James, Chapter 5, verses
13 - 16. 13Is any one of you in trouble? He
should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. 14Is any
one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and
anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15And the prayer offered
in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has
sinned, he will be forgiven. 16Therefore confess your sins to each
other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a
righteous man is powerful and effective. The Prayer Team will meet individuals, families or groups
for prayer and anointing services as they are requested. These can be
anywhere; in the hospital, at the church, in the home or anywhere that
is convenient and appropriate for those requesting the service. We will
also come to your home, apartment or special building to conduct a
blessing ceremony for that particular location. Please schedule these
through Roger Wright or Grant Dunigan by contacting the church office
(937-433-0880), There will be special prayer services scheduled around
specific dates and times throughout the year to celebrate a significant
event, anniversary or celebration. We also conduct a monthly service of prayer, communion and
song at Sycamore Glen Retirement Village. |
