The first bit of advice I am going to give you is this. Don't go to a architect right off the bat for a plan. Very expensive for them to research your ideas. Begin with scrounging around in your local Home Center or book store for magazines mostly and some books that have floor plans.

Years ago I bought and saved every magazine I could get my hands on that had floor plans, furniture, cabinets you name it. These came in very handy over the years to show folks when they would come to me for plans. I have drawn very few plans that I didn't eventually build for someone.

Keep a notebook and a scrapbook. When you see things you like write it down with a description and in your scrapbook place pictures that you can cut out of magazines. The secret to a well planned home begins with PLAN! PLAN! PLAN!

You won't find any floor plans on this site. I would probably never have one displayed that most people would like so I can save myself a lot of work. HA!
