FROM EMAIL SOLUTIONS TO WEBSITE HOSTING TO SOPHISTICATED NETWORKS, DONET HELPS LOCAL INSTITUTIONS EXCEED CUSTOMER EXPECTATIONS

Dayton, Ohio

What does a company that manages doctors’ offices, a family fun center that’s the place to celebrate birthdays, and an organization that’s dedicated to preserving the history of aviation all have in common? They count on DONet, Inc. for communications solutions that not only make them more efficient, but also enhance their customers’ experience.

Just What The Doctor Ordered

MediSync Midwest, LLC, manages large primary care group facilities in Dayton and Cincinnati, providing accounting, billing, staffing and site management for 32 family practice and pediatric offices, along with two data support centers.

“To stay competitive, we decided to reposition our IT infrastructure to deliver better solutions for our clients, and position ourselves for rapid expansion,” says Roger Cass, CIO of MediSync Midwest, headquartered in the Cincinnati suburb of Norwood. “We needed a WAN (wide area network) that would bring together voice and data. However, our staff didn’t have the experience and expertise to plan and implement a complex WAN. And we had three months to achieve this.”

“DONet came highly recommended to us from some of our other business partners,” says Cass. DONet designed, configured, installed and optimized a comprehensive, cutting-edge WAN that provides both data and voice capabilities. “They provided immediate expertise in terms of design and equipment acquisition at the lowest prices. They configured and cabled all the facilities right on schedule. In fact, one of my IT people said it was one of the most professional installations he’d ever seen.”

“DONet continues to assist us as we seek to maximize service,” says Cass.
A Happy Birthday Solution Worth Celebrating

Visiting Young’s Dairy Farm is always a treat, but even more so when celebrating a birthday. Members of their popular Birthday Club are treated to a free two-dip sundae on their day. The landmark family fun center with restaurant and ice cream parlor, located between Springfield and Yellow Springs on US 68, sought a more efficient solution than mailing postcards which had been the traditional means of notifying Birthday Club members.

As John Young puts it, “We wanted an online notification system for our Birthday Club, and an online newsletter with special offers. We wanted to see where our customers came from, so that we could target our advertising efforts. We decided to talk to DONet.”

DONet designed and constructed a completely web-based system to replace the postcard-based Birthday Club program that had proven to be too costly and unwieldy to administer.

According to Young, “We now have 4,500 members on our email list, and we’re getting a 5%-10% redemption rate on our offers – for example, $5 off two dinners.”

“DONet is very customer-service oriented,” says Young. “It’s almost like having them on staff.”
Doing Right By The Wright Brothers

The Wright Brothers Aeroplane Company is a non-profit organization of aviators, historians, educators and others who share a mission: To tell the story of Orville and Wilbur Wright. As the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers’ first powered flight arrived, hits to the Springboro-based organization’s website took off like a rocket. To ensure that website visitors had a turbulence-free experience, DONet migrated the website to its own dedicated server, keeping the website flying high.

As Nick Engler, president of Wright Brothers Aeroplane Company describes it, “On the centennial of the Wright Brothers’ flight at Kitty Hawk, Google put our website as the link for anyone searching for Wright Brothers information that day. We got bombarded with millions of hits.”

“We were concerned that website visitors were being denied access, so we contacted DONet,” says Engler. “They moved us to a higher-capacity server in minutes. Our website was down only two or three minutes. Once we moved, we received zero complaints.”

According to Engler, “Thanks to DONet’s excellent service, we didn’t miss a beat. Our website serves a lot of children and school classes, so it’s important for our website to be fully available. DONet is very attentive to our needs.”
