ELECTRICAL RESEARCH
(Continued from Page Twenty-one)
[prepara-]tion of the dance yet to be held and the audience leisurely left their seats and converged into friendly little groups to discuss the performance they had just witnessed. Backstage we still couldn't relax for we had another show to put on the next night. But as the last strains of music floated out across the cool October night and groups began to split up and go their various ways we knew that, though amateur, this "morale building" department revue had written NCR history.
Barbara Roberson was married and left the Company to join her husband.
They say Lila Lou Larvin is thinking of buying a string of race horses.
A good time was had by many of our guys and gals who were present when Ohio States tangled with Great Lakes at Columbus. We asked Johnny Stutz if we could go with him but he already had a car full of fair ladies. We wonder, how does he do it?
Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Frederick flew to Washington, D. C., where they spent their vacation with their daughter.
I was curtly reprimanded by Elmer Brown, because Elmer Brown's name, as it appeared in a recent issue, was not recorded as Elmer Brown, but as Homer Brown. My sincere apologies, Elmer, and yes, Elmer, I'll try to remember in the future that your name is Elmer and not Homer.
Congratulations to Johnny Stutz, who won the city gold championship in a recent tournament. We've also heard that John and Bob Gaeble won prizes in the NCR tournament.
Can you imagine any one girl eating eight roasting ears at one sitting? Well, don't look now, but Irene Burts did just that and she tells me that she could have enjoyed more.
Virginia Jones is leaving the Company to join her husband in Miami, Fla.
Replogle has been telling us about his vacation which he spent fishing at Celina and he sounds sincere when he tells about all those big fish he almost caught, but Johnny and I don't believe him. Do you?
Carley Moyer has been ill with pneumonia and to him we send our sincerest "get well quick" wishes.
Mary Etta Thalman's husband was recently inducted into the Army.
Johnny Stutz tells me he and Paul Snyder are planning to spend their vacation in New York. We hope you have a good time, fellas. Another lucky one is Jean Hamilton who is also visiting New York.
SPOTLIGHT!
RUTH BUSSARD
Present--one of the sweetest, best liked personalities of Building No. 26, and a woman who more than deserves all the praise she gets. She's Ruth Bussard, first to be a friend to all and more than willing to help anyone and everyone in any situation. You don't find many people like her, so we're justly proud to introduce her to the NCR public.
An ardent follower of the theater, she spends her days as an excellent secretary here in Electrical Research. That's about all the facts we can give you, she's far too modest to talk about herself, so you'll just have to get acquainted and find out for yourself what a wonderful person she is.
